Who We Are
Founded in 2014, Rise Through CHANGE is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of children, their families, and their communities. We are dedicated to providing access to quality healthcare, nutrition, and education for those who need it most, with a focus on uplifting and empowering children to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
Through our programs, services and you, we have been able to impact the lives of children in two different villages in Uganda and also locally in Orlando Florida. Because of your donations, in Uganda we have been able to purchase a 10,000 liter water tank for a school to provide access to safe drinking water, contract a local carpenter to build desks for two schools, provide nutritional meals for students and supporting their education. Locally in Orlando we allied to create a "shopping experience" for parents to purchase Christmas toys for their children, assisted in numerous food drives and provided teachers with school materials. In 2015 we also provided over $1,000 in earthquake aid for Nepal.
At Rise Through CHANGE, we are committed to transparency, accountability, and excellence. We strive to operate with the utmost integrity and are proud of our reputation as a trustworthy and effective organization. We welcome your support and participation in our mission and invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of children in Uganda and in our local communities.
Thank you for considering Rise Through CHANGE and we look forward to working with you to achieve our shared goals.
CHANGE actually stands for Challenging Healthcare, Attaining Nutrition and Growing Education.

US Director & Co-founder
Carlos Andres was inspired to cofound Rise Through CHANGE in 2012 after traveling through Uganda and meeting a local leader who at his request, invited Carlos to his local village to see first hand the benefits of supporting a local community. Upon his travels to the village, Carlos saw the ill-effects of villages dependent of foreign visitors and the impact it had on children of those villages. "I described it as third-world tourism or even a zoo, you go to Africa, take a few pictures with some babies and come back home telling all of your friends how you changed the world, when it fact, it does more harm than good". Carlos has made it a mission to become partners with local community leaders in finding sustainable solutions. After meeting another volunteer in Uganda, Carlos decided to start a non-profit to start that vision.
